I'm here to help you build a bold brand and website to help you achieve game-changing results.
Hey, I'm Erika!
Have you ever felt like your Shopify website doesn’t truuuly ever sound like you? Like, maybe the confirmation email sounds a little off, or your cart verbiage isn’t right. That’s probably because you haven’t changed your account’s language. So let me show you how!
How to change the verbiage in your Shopify shop
Starting on your Shopify dashboard, right when you log in…
Just go to Settings (over on the bottom left of your screen)
And then click on Store Languages (in the middle of the page on the right)
And then click on Change Theme Language
From there, all of these places pop up across the top of the screen, that you can change wording to make it sound more like your branding.
You can change everything from what you call your cart, to what your contact form says. Editing your store’s language will really help in bringing your store’s branding to life.
But why??
People use the terms brand and branding interchangeably (even me….even though I know the difference, it’s just hard not to.) If you want to see a more in depth explanation, check this out: Brand vs Branding … but here’s the condensed version. Branding is everything your client can see. Logos, fonts, colors, graphics, etc. Your brand is how you make your clients feel. This is your voice, your story, your solutions.
NOTICE: the very first thing I mention in that list is “your voice.” Most of the time your customers can’t hear what you, an online business owner, are saying. They get to know you through your language, your flow, the words you use over and over. This is a part of your brand, and having a solid brand builds trust, and trust makes sales.
I promise you, it’s so worth it.
