Something VERY important you should know is: what the difference between a “brand” and “branding” actually is. Do you know the difference? A lot of shop owners use the words interchangeably…which makes sense because it’s so important that they work together. But they’re not actually the same thing!
So branding is all the visual stuff. Like your logos, your submarks, the colors. Everything that your clients or customers are going to be looking at, and thinking are pretty, hopefully.
A brand is how you’re making your customers feel. So that’s things like your messaging, your marketing, your client experience. So much is encompassed in your brand, and it’s so so important to know how to marry your brand with your visual branding so that it becomes an entire experience, rather than something that kind of gets lost in translation.
In essence, your branding is – how your clients are thinking of you visually, and then your brand is how they’re feeling overall when they think of you.
